Seriously, though. This last group of Resetters. They blew my mind.
I love watching women learn how to nourish themselves well. It is so. so. so. hard to do this sometimes, and I see the struggle they go through. They are torn between wanting to stay comfortable and wanting to feel good again.
There are three women in particular who impressed me (you all did though, I promise) with their passion and dedication in sticking to the program. They’ll be guest blogging over the next few weeks, and I am thrilled and honored to welcome them over here.
First up is Monica. I just happened to see (creeping all low on Facebook one day) that she was documenting her entire 28 Day Reset, one day at a time, in pictures and with thoughtful comments. I got excited to check on her every day and get an update on her health journey. At the end of the Reset, I asked for permission to share her words and photographs and she graciously allowed me to do so. I hope you enjoy her story as much as I did. I loved getting a peek into her strong faith and also getting to see how much her husband supported her during her journey. Thank you, Monica, for your kick-ass dedication and your willingness to share. You rock!
Monica’s summary of her experience:
I decided to do the 28 Day Reset with a close friend to clean up my diet because I was overweight. I’m 38 years old, 5’1/2″ tall and was 150 lbs! I’m a busy wife and mother of three. I let life get in the way of taking care of myself first. I started eating a lot of fast food and processed food out of convenience. The eczema on my face was out of control, I was getting headaches, experiencing symptoms of GERD, & my hormones were all over the place. A few days of clean eating on the Reset, I noticed that my bloating started to subside. My face started to clear up. My period during the Reset was about 4-5 days, not heavy, and little to no cramping. I found that eating small portions 4 times a day worked well with my body. The daily treats we were able to have satisfied my cravings. Moving forward, I will continue to eat 4 times a day with my favorite recipes from the Reset. I will still have a cup of the hormone tea and adrenal cocktail daily. I’m going to listen to my body more and not push so hard, like in the gym or with double workouts on the same day. I lost 8 lbs during the 28 Day Reset and will continue until I reach my goal of losing 25 lbs. I look forward to the upcoming Reset in September!
Thank you, again, Jennifer for all your wisdom,
Monica Hering
And since pictures are worth a thousand words, here is a visual representation of her journey.
I was particularly impressed by her day 11 journal entry. After only 11 days, her battle with eczema started to subside. She had used expensive creams and potions for years to no avail. But by feeding her body the right foods, sleeping well, and reducing stress, her eczema started to fade away. This is a huge win!
Thank you, Monica, for letting me share your journey! I can’t wait to see you in September!
You can grab your own 28 Day Reset here.
