hello!

I'm Jennifer

I didn’t grow up dreaming about a career, I dreamed about being a mom. But years of striving, perfectionism, and pushing myself to exhaustion left my hormones wrecked, my gut inflamed, and my body begging for change. After finding Functional Diagnostic Nutrition and rebuilding my own health through data, nourishment, and balance, I made it my mission to help other women do the same. I now guide women to restore their bodies through holistic lab testing, ancestral nutrition, rest, and sustainable self-care, because a balanced body makes for a balanced babe.

Why is nobody talking about this one? ⬇️ Swedish Why is nobody talking about this one? ⬇️

Swedish researchers took postmenopausal women who were having at least 4 moderate to severe hot flashes a day. Half of them did strength training 3 times a week for 15 weeks. The other half didn’t change a thing.

The lifting group’s hot flashes dropped by about 44%. The other group’s dropped by about 2%.

And the workout was simple: 8 exercises, 2 sets of 8 to 12 reps, with the weights slowly getting heavier. That’s it, friends.

⭐️ Save this for the next time someone tells you to just do more cardio.

EPISODE 69: How Gratitude, Mindset, and P3p tides EPISODE 69: How Gratitude, Mindset, and P3p tides Helped Him Reclaim His Health and Purpose with TJ Sweet

In this episode, I’m joined by TJ Sweet, keynote speaker, author, certified coach, and host of the Living the Sweet Life podcast, to talk about his personal journey with p3p tides, recovering from years of knee pain, and changing the way he approaches health, gratitude, and personal growth. But this conversation goes beyond physical healing. TJ shares how gratitude, self-acceptance, and understanding the deeper purpose behind our goals can change the way we approach our health. He explains why chasing a number on the scale isn’t always enough, why sustainable habits matter more than quick results, and how taking care of ourselves can help us show up more fully for the people we love.
In this episode, we cover:
✅ TJ’s journey through multiple knee surgeries and chronic knee pain
✅ How p3p tides became part of his personal recovery journey
✅ The p3p tides TJ has explored, including B P C 1 5 7, T B 5 0 0, S S 3 1, and M O T S c
✅ Why gut health, nutrition, movement, and other foundational habits matter alongside p3p tides
✅ How gratitude can help us shift our perspective without ignoring difficult emotions
✅ Why setting health goals around purpose can be more motivating than focusing only on weight or appearance
✅ The difference between achieving a goal and building habits that help you sustain your results
✅ How social media and comparison can affect body image and self-acceptance
✅ Learning to keep promises to yourself and build a healthier relationship with yourself
✅ Why taking care of your health can help you stay present for the people you love
✅ How to receive compliments without turning them into new expectations
✅ Why p3p tides aren’t a shortcut or a replacement for the foundations of good health

I turn 44 next week, and my labs say my biological I turn 44 next week, and my labs say my biological age is 37. 🙌

But my lovelies, I’m not going to pretend everything came back perfect. Three markers were flagged, and I’m showing you all of them.

I took a full month off ALL my hormones before this test. So I’m not on HRT right now, but I keep progesterone and estrogen on hand, just in case. I wanted to see what my body is doing on its own.

Here’s what came back:

💗 My total cholesterol is 212 and my LDL is 113. I see this all the time in midlife women. Cholesterol is the backbone of progesterone, estrogen and testosterone, and as those hormones drop, LDL tends to overcompensate.

💗 My HDL is 86.7, and it’s been in the 70s and 80s all year. That’s the good cholesterol, and I’ll take it. It’s hella good, and causes my total cholesterol to “look” higher than it is.

💗 My SHBG and uric acid were flagged too, so they’re on my watch list for my next test. I blame stress 🙈

💗 I lost 15 pounds last year and my thyroid still looks incredible. I eat enough calories, I eat enough carbs, and I don’t overexercise.

💗 My inflammation has stayed low on every test this year.

Here’s why I test every month, at home: my estradiol ranged from 50 to 163 across five tests this year. One test would have shown me part of the story. My symptoms tell me something feels off, and my labs tell me what it is.

It takes me under 5 minutes at home, and then it goes in a FedEx box. Good heavens, it doesn’t get easier than that.

Blood work in under 10 minutes. From my kitchen. O Blood work in under 10 minutes. From my kitchen. On my lunch break. 🩸

You guys know I am OBSESSED with lab testing. But not everybody wants to run a DUTCH, or can afford one.

So this year I’ve been playing with at-home lab testing, and friends... it’s so easy.

Here’s how it goes:

1. A little kit shows up at your door

2. You strap it on your arm (I heated up my lunch while mine did its thing 🙋‍♀️)

3. About 5 minutes later, done

4.Drop it at FedEx

5. Your results show up in the app a couple of days later

I use Rythm Health. They call it “the world’s easiest blood test,” and I tend to agree. Perfect for girlies in a rush.

Because here’s the thing, my loves: you can’t fix what you can’t see. Your labs tell the story your symptoms are hinting at. 💛
